Top 10 things that Mom's need to think about to keep their family safe in case of a tragedy!

Top 10 things that Mom's need to think about to keep their family safe in case of a tragedy!

Tragedy comes in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes the tragedy directly affects your
family by

  1. the income that your household brings in
  2. your health where you can't do the same things as you used to do
  3. an injury that will affect your job or ability to do your job
  4. your house structure burns or floods
  5. your personal identity gets comprimised
  6. your possessions are stolen
  7. a divorce or separation
  8. a business partnership failure
  9. a business partner death
  10. a sickness of a family member
  11. a brain injury of a family member
  12. coma or paralysis of a family member
  13. a legal battle with family
How does a family protect against these types of things? By planning.
How do I plan?
  1. Getting the appropriate insurance that will cover these types of things to ensure you have an income
  2. Getting a diary or log of your medical history records
  3. Getting a log of your accounts
  4. Keep an up to date file  of what both partners have in coverages, assets and liabilities in case the relationship falls apart- look after yourself!
  5. Taking photos and hair samples of family members
  6. Organize how to pay your bills if you are unable to do so
  7. A log of your personal passwords and keep them strictly safe
  8. Keeping a safety net account for raining days
  9. Turn off switches for gas and water
  10. Have an up-to-date will and power of attorney, living will
A Business to do list is still to come.
There is so much more to do and keep track of. But, planning is easy if it's all laid out in front of you.
Pick up or order your Backup Plan where you have an easy instruction workbook to help you through the process and have everything all in one place. That's really important. But, what's more important? To have everything safe and locked up. Order your APP to make it an even easier process.

Is winning the lottery the same as hearing you have Cancer?

We know it’s not “will we” experience a tragedy, it’s is “when we” experience some sort of tragedy and how we deal with it and how well we are prepared.

This makes the difference from perhaps foreclosure, bankruptcy, divorce, family divorce, credit or money issues, employment, and emotional depression and loss in the family.
Other issues always arrive from winning the lottery to a family member falling into a coma!
You need answers!
Where are their accounts, how do you access them, what do they have, what dog food do you buy, where will the kids go, how do I pay the bills, how do you get in their house?
They are all issues that need to have some planning.
And if we have a backup plan for coaching a baseball team, because you never know what team is going to play on the field on which day just in case.
Why not have a plan b for your team? Your family matters.

How do we deal with finding out that you have terminal cancer, or that my partner is in the hospital for 3 months after a car accident?
How do we know where your “stuff” is if both of you become injured in an accident?

But, being prepared means we have our information all in one safe and secure place, and we have gone through all of the questions asked about “What if” so when something does occur in our lives we have answers and solutions to all of those types of devastating tragedies that can turn any family rich or poor upside down.

You haven't done your own Backup Plan?

Stop! You haven't done your own Backup Plan?
IT REALLY IS TIME TO START!
Only an afternoon to go through the step-by-step system
and put in your documents, information and passwords, etc.
Other items such as hair, medical, pictures, hobby collections, etc. can be added to whenever you need to update it on a regular basis!
Remember it's not just financial. We really have a lot of bits and pieces to our own family whether you are married, single or common law.
What would make life easier for those that are left behind to find out where you bank, or if you need your disability claim information.
What about your credit card information if it is fraudulently stolen, or you have a fire, or an accident?
We can go through the 10 sections to put in the system what pertains to you at that time, and add to it as needed.
Do you have a will & power of attorney? Maybe, maybe not.
Whether you do or don't or just need it updated, this will surely help you get one in place and have it and other information about you in "ONE central place." Where do I keep it?
Well, thinking of security at all times, definitely locked up so it's safe. I bet right now all of that stuff or most of it, isn't locked up and isn't safe from others to see if they wanted it.
What about ensuring your policies are easy to access when needed or your medical information stays updated so you can be in control of your own prescriptions and health because you can see right away what has been done, tested and prescribed in the past.
Why do you think all of this is important?
Because if someone had to step into your LIFE today would you know what to do even down to what type of dog food to buy?
Check out our secret system to ensure you protect you and your family from the unexpected.

What rights do Grandparents have?

DAY 32 TIP OF THE DAY - 60 DAY CHALLENGE OFFER

Family Law changes- Grandparents' access rights

Mar 4 -2013

As a grandparent in BC you have the legal right to apply for access in BC but that doesn't necessarily mean that you will automatically get the right to have access visits with your grandchild.

The court looks at 3 things:
1- whether its in your grandchild's best interests
2- What the parent who have custody think about giving you access
3- What the child's views are if the child is old enough
Unfortunately in some instances the child's parents will decide the amount and type of access you will have unless the court finds that they are acting against the child's best interest. You may get access but you will not have the same rights as a parent would for frequency and length of the visits.
