How to avoid the "B" word, Bankruptcy in 3 easy ways!

HOW TO AVOID BANKRUPTCY in 3 easy ways!

Missing payments and don't know how to pay the next one?
I listened to the 650 AM radio show with guests, Sands & Associates, last night. Great show! What we help clients do is to make it as easy as we can and make a plan that works for them.

There is a limit to how many times someone can go into bankruptcy in their lifetime! Did you know that?
3 x's and then not sure what your plan would be.
But, why are you going into this problem again, did you not learn the first time?
Trying to pay back by paying one card with the other? It's time to do something!
That new business didn't work out? Now you are stuck with the business debt. Get some assistance in clearing this up.
  1. Either get another job, or a part-time income source that will allow to make those extra payments to decrease the debt. Pay off consistently and larger lump sums. Take one at a time to pay off one payment with the largest lump sums and then work on the other credit cards. Until you are back down to only having 2 credit cards only with ZERO balance! Yahoo!

So, many of our clients only have to go to step 2:

     2. Compile your list of debt and consolidate into one easy payment either incorporated into your mortgage or a separate loan. See a good Mortgage broker to get help with this. Links below.

Can't make that work?

3.  Go to your lawyer or a Trustee for assistance such as Sands & Associates, many various locations, to get help with a Consumer Proposal. Don't have a lawyer, we can help you with finding one across Canada and in the United States.

What is a Consumer Proposal?
A consumer proposal will allow you to settle your debts for a percentage less than you owe by making an agreement with your creditors. They had mentioned about 30% of the debt to make arrangements to pay back monthly over a 2 year,3 year, 4 year, or 5 year term maximum. Don't miss 3 or more payments with this agreement because it voids your agreement for the repayment. The Consumer proposal will only affect your credit report by an average of 9 months to 1 year with consecutive payments.
A bankruptcy #1 will affect your credit report by 1 yr to 2 years. They will say it's no concern from your history after the 5 year mark.

Let's make it easy! Let's have less stress.
Tired of the Creditors calling you? Get yourself a Lawyer in your pocket that will look after that for you!

Top 10 things that Mom's need to think about to keep their family safe in case of a tragedy!

Top 10 things that Mom's need to think about to keep their family safe in case of a tragedy!

Tragedy comes in all shapes and sizes. Sometimes the tragedy directly affects your
family by

  1. the income that your household brings in
  2. your health where you can't do the same things as you used to do
  3. an injury that will affect your job or ability to do your job
  4. your house structure burns or floods
  5. your personal identity gets comprimised
  6. your possessions are stolen
  7. a divorce or separation
  8. a business partnership failure
  9. a business partner death
  10. a sickness of a family member
  11. a brain injury of a family member
  12. coma or paralysis of a family member
  13. a legal battle with family
How does a family protect against these types of things? By planning.
How do I plan?
  1. Getting the appropriate insurance that will cover these types of things to ensure you have an income
  2. Getting a diary or log of your medical history records
  3. Getting a log of your accounts
  4. Keep an up to date file  of what both partners have in coverages, assets and liabilities in case the relationship falls apart- look after yourself!
  5. Taking photos and hair samples of family members
  6. Organize how to pay your bills if you are unable to do so
  7. A log of your personal passwords and keep them strictly safe
  8. Keeping a safety net account for raining days
  9. Turn off switches for gas and water
  10. Have an up-to-date will and power of attorney, living will
A Business to do list is still to come.
There is so much more to do and keep track of. But, planning is easy if it's all laid out in front of you.
Pick up or order your Backup Plan where you have an easy instruction workbook to help you through the process and have everything all in one place. That's really important. But, what's more important? To have everything safe and locked up. Order your APP to make it an even easier process.

Emergency comes in all shapes and sizes

Emergency comes in all shapes and sizes!
When is it an emergency? When my lights don't turn on with a flick of a switch or when your mortgage or loan gets called in?
Or is it when your daughter tattoos her body parts, or those torture devices, spacers or earlobe ex-panders!
I think we need to pick our fights especially with all of the emergencies that can happen to us at any time anywhere! Our emergencies might consist of divorce especially when it's unexpected, car accidents, work accidents, medical, travel emergency, loss of your passport, wallet stolen, break in , theft, identity stolen, business partnership divorce, disease and illnesses, your children's illness, death in the family, estate planning, the list can go on. Can you think of any others?
When do you stress over things that come up in your life?
It's been proven that we stress more over things in life that we haven't planned for or that come up suddenly! We are wondering what stance to take on a subject, emotionally tied to the outcome, frustration with the humiliation,  embarrassment from the monies owed or the care required, and of all the things that you have to deal with. Making decisions. Because it is real, and there is an outcome and you have to make decisions even as hard as they are.
Why then we do we stress over these types of emergencies?
Because we haven't planned for that type of change in our family life. Do a little bit of planning and you can deal with whatever comes your way small or big!
So, I can make some of those worries go away at least by having a plan , finding out how you can do that is by contacting our website and getting parts of your plan organized by a few punches of your APP!

Is winning the lottery the same as hearing you have Cancer?

We know it’s not “will we” experience a tragedy, it’s is “when we” experience some sort of tragedy and how we deal with it and how well we are prepared.

This makes the difference from perhaps foreclosure, bankruptcy, divorce, family divorce, credit or money issues, employment, and emotional depression and loss in the family.
Other issues always arrive from winning the lottery to a family member falling into a coma!
You need answers!
Where are their accounts, how do you access them, what do they have, what dog food do you buy, where will the kids go, how do I pay the bills, how do you get in their house?
They are all issues that need to have some planning.
And if we have a backup plan for coaching a baseball team, because you never know what team is going to play on the field on which day just in case.
Why not have a plan b for your team? Your family matters.

How do we deal with finding out that you have terminal cancer, or that my partner is in the hospital for 3 months after a car accident?
How do we know where your “stuff” is if both of you become injured in an accident?

But, being prepared means we have our information all in one safe and secure place, and we have gone through all of the questions asked about “What if” so when something does occur in our lives we have answers and solutions to all of those types of devastating tragedies that can turn any family rich or poor upside down.

Extreme Events Are a Sign of What Is Yet To Come

What is coming next? Is there more flooding, droughts, earthquakes, fires, shootings, car accidents, sickness and disease, train accidents, avalanches, theft and terrorism?  One can only hope that any type of horrific event that can devastate everything that we own and who we are will not occur.  Tina Olexa, Founder of a company named Your Backup Plan believes that the extreme events that are so newsworthy are a sign of what is yet to come.  She asks, “How can we be sure of anything anymore.”

As a Business owner how can I protect my wife and kids

A BUSINESS OWNER:
Q. “A colleague of mine passed away suddenly and I had the opportunity to see first-hand the financial and emotional hardship he and his family are dealing with on an on-going basis because he had no plan for the unexpected events. How can I protect my wife and kids in case something happens to me?
It is understandable that as the provider and protector of your family, you want to ensure that they financially and emotionally secure.  Have a succession plan for your business and leave your personal life in order.  Here are the top 10 tips to protect you, your spouse and family in case of any tragedy--
1-      Short term disability and long term disability policies will ensure that you have sufficient income to provide assistance to you and your family for living expenses, prescriptions, tests or treatments.
2-      A medical care policy that will care for you or a loved one in case of extreme disability, dementia, or sickness is very different than a disability policy. It will provide you with the medical attention, housing or care-aids when required.
3-      A power of attorney with delegation to a family member or trusted advisor will allow temporary decision-making on your behalf a simpler process.
4-      A current last will and testament, a living will and a medical directive are all important so that your wishes are clear to family, healthcare providers and legal counsel.  If you don’t have these, do it now.
5-      Keep a current contact list for your lawyers, accountants, bankers, consultants, agents, advisors, managers, friends and associations.
6-      Keep a copy of your birth and marriage certificates on file and easily accessible.  They may be needed when dealing with government agencies and when applying for transfer of benefits to your spouse.
7-      Consider life insurance that doesn't change in frequency, payment or benefit during your lifetime. That way it will be with you and your family forever without having to pay more, or lose it.
8-      Consider creating trusts for your family members. This can be a reliable income stream for family members without it being taxed as income.  Check with your accountant or financial planner on the current regulations.
9-      Organize personal bills and make notations for others that are left behind since so many bills are now e-statements.

10-   Keep a register (list and copies) of all of the aforementioned documents and information PLUS the registered owners of your personal assets such as your accounts, investments, property, safety deposit box, and vehicles in one place that is easy to find by your family.

You haven't done your own Backup Plan?

Stop! You haven't done your own Backup Plan?
IT REALLY IS TIME TO START!
Only an afternoon to go through the step-by-step system
and put in your documents, information and passwords, etc.
Other items such as hair, medical, pictures, hobby collections, etc. can be added to whenever you need to update it on a regular basis!
Remember it's not just financial. We really have a lot of bits and pieces to our own family whether you are married, single or common law.
What would make life easier for those that are left behind to find out where you bank, or if you need your disability claim information.
What about your credit card information if it is fraudulently stolen, or you have a fire, or an accident?
We can go through the 10 sections to put in the system what pertains to you at that time, and add to it as needed.
Do you have a will & power of attorney? Maybe, maybe not.
Whether you do or don't or just need it updated, this will surely help you get one in place and have it and other information about you in "ONE central place." Where do I keep it?
Well, thinking of security at all times, definitely locked up so it's safe. I bet right now all of that stuff or most of it, isn't locked up and isn't safe from others to see if they wanted it.
What about ensuring your policies are easy to access when needed or your medical information stays updated so you can be in control of your own prescriptions and health because you can see right away what has been done, tested and prescribed in the past.
Why do you think all of this is important?
Because if someone had to step into your LIFE today would you know what to do even down to what type of dog food to buy?
Check out our secret system to ensure you protect you and your family from the unexpected.

A Kid says your family does matter!

What happens when even a kid says that your family matters?
It is important to get all of your stuff in order even when you think nothing will happen. Because you don't know when something will happen!
Ask yourself, there are so many things paper, documents, things that you know in your head or the other one knows but no one else does. So what will happen?
Well, Facebook for example is difficult to fix when someone has passed away, and if left the risk are individuals that pretend to be them and make multiple accounts in their name.
So why not be prepared?
Be ready, for taking a trip + theft at home - ensuring your paperwork is kept in a locked cabinet as well as your wallet and purse + your will & power of attorney + your financial information and policies safe and secure so others can find the information + your wishes + your computer and email information + your bills to pay if something happened to the one that normally pays them, and so on.
We have 10 chapters to look after each area, whether you collect old cars, old antiques, fire trucks, or anything else - let's look after those that are left behind and make it easier for them.
Let's ensure we have everything in order just in case of those sickness or injuries such as dementia, strokes, cancer and heart attacks, car accidents and work accidents as well as brain injuries!
If someone had to step into your LIFE today would they know what to do even down to what dog food to buy?
Check out our secret system to ensure you protect your family from the unexpected!

We have a Plan for that big dinner event, and even for a Plan B if we get too many show up
But, we don't have a Plan B for ourselves. A plan that incorporates every part of our lives, our family and our personal stuff that we have in our head somewhere.
How do we get that organized and how do we plan for all of these things so that at anytime the impact is minimal???

Do Women know their Family affairs?

DAY 39 TIP OF THE DAY - 60 DAY CHALLENGE OFFER

Do women know their Family Stuff?
Mar 11-2013

Do Women know their family stuff? or do we just expect our husbands to look after it and know what's what?
I think that's what is happening in most cases. There are at least 89% of families in Canada that the woman rely on the husband to know what type of policies they have, how much they cost, and what they are. Where in fact they don't understand the details anymore than their spouse. But, shouldn't the spouse and for that matter the family understand what the coverage is for the family Income earners?  Due to the privacy issues now, it is very difficult and timely to wait until the spouse only can tell you the policy number to start the claim.  We shouldn't have to wait for the spouse who is the injured one to tell us the pertinent information needed to fill out a claim. It's too late.
The more you know ~ the more you can plan ahead!
